Electrical Engineer II

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Electrical Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing the electrical systems that will enable our spacecraft to safely and efficiently transport people and payloads to space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for spacecraft, including power distribution, communication, and navigation systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet safety and performance requirements
  • Develop and implement test plans to validate electrical system performance
  • Work with the avionics team to integrate electrical systems with spacecraft avionics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on spacecraft or aerospace applications
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, communication, and navigation systems
  • Experience with electrical system design and development, including simulation and testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with spacecraft avionics and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of Python and/or NI LabView programming and embedded software
  • Experience with test automation and electrical system testing
