Call Center Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Suffolk Transportation Service, Inc. as a Call Center Agent. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all callers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Answer calls in a clear, concise, and friendly manner, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work Collaboratively with Colleagues: Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient resolution of customer issues.
- Meet Customer Needs: Effectively meet the needs of callers, including bookings, cancellations, and trip verification, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Be Mindful of Customer Needs: Demonstrate empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by customers, including sight, hearing, cognitive, and physical limitations.
- Resolve Complicated Issues: Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex customer issues, including round trips and other transportation-related matters.
- Geographic Knowledge: Possess a strong knowledge of the Long Island, NY geography to effectively assist customers with their transportation needs.
- Map Testing and Data Entry: Participate in periodic map testing and perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable Transportation: Possess a reliable means of transportation to ensure timely attendance at work.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time and perform general office duties.
- Language Skills: Possess a good command of the English language and strong computer skills, including keyboarding.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our customers.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and resolution of customer issues.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
