Job Description

Support full-cycle accounting functions in a given month, encompassing areas such as Accrued Liabilities, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Software, Payroll-related entries, and month-end account reconciliations.

Assistance may be provided in the periodic preparation of financial statements and financial reporting to MiTek's holding company. Strong Excel skills are preferred, and experience with financial software applications (SAP, OneStream, QAD) is a plus. Top candidates possess excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsible for the Corporate business unit's month-end and year-end close under the supervision of a Manager.

Preparing monthly journal entries and related support schedules.

Preparing month-end balance sheet account reconciliations.

Prepare quarterly and annual census filings.

Preparing and monitoring the daily cash schedule for consolidated North America.

Providing data and input into the Corporate annual budget.

Assisting with analysis of Corporate and consolidated year-over-year results.

Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets and software schedules in CCH.

Analyzing general ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies.

Wells Fargo Corporate team administrator.

Special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

1-2 years of experience in public accounting or manufacturing industry-related accounting and financial reporting preferred.

Equivalent combination of experience and education that clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Able to use Microsoft Office Applications.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - External Agency/Certifier preferred.

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone, and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
