Investment Accounting Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned investment accounting professional to lead our team and drive financial reporting excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of financial statements disclosures and analyses
  • Support the development and achievement of department goals and implement Global Finance strategies
  • Initiate and lead projects aimed at improving process efficiency, financial reporting quality, and strengthening internal controls
  • Enhance and manage investment accounting technology tools for better data consolidation, analysis, and reporting
  • Collaborate with senior-level investment personnel to align investment accounting with company goals and operational needs
  • Oversee integration efforts for new business opportunities, acquisitions, and due diligence related to investments
  • Coordinate communication with external advisors and local accounting offices to ensure accurate reporting of investment risks and data exchange
  • Perform management duties, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff, while fostering a positive work environment
  • Work with other functional areas to ensure efficient accounting practices and respond to inquiries from various departments
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to develop goals, plans, and budgets that align with company objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of accounting or auditing experience, including at least 5 years in investment accounting with Statutory and GAAP knowledge
  • 10 years of management experience
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and SQL/Query tools
  • Advanced knowledge of business practices, investment accounting, and GAAP/statutory requirements
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop teams
  • Expert analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex business concepts
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and initiatives
  • Expertise in customer relationship and change management
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, in working with internal and external stakeholders
