Job Description

Brightpoint Community College, a two-year public institution of higher education, is seeking a qualified part-time instructor to teach accounting courses on its Chester or Midlothian campus. The college serves students and the community through its two campuses, online, and in locations throughout its service area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide traditional delivery instruction on the Chester or Midlothian campus.
  • Teach courses in Financial and Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Non-Profit and Government Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and Auditing.
  • Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in accounting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level is preferred.
Additional Considerations:
  • Ability to use instructional technologies.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
