Position Title: Quality Control Laboratory Specialist

Location: Ontario, CA

Contract Duration: 3 months+

Compensation: $23 - $25/hour on W2

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently execute laboratory tasks with precision.
  • Register incoming production and raw material samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for analytical evaluation.
  • Prepare samples for both internal and external laboratories, including customer pre/co-shipment samples as necessary.
  • Examine and combine samples received from production to guarantee a representative sample is available for laboratory examination.
  • Verify the accuracy of raw material Certificate of Analysis data before reporting.
  • Ensure proper cleaning of laboratory glassware.
  • Maintain the retention area for all laboratory samples.
  • Scrutinize data for accuracy prior to reporting.
  • Carry out administrative laboratory duties, such as updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Keep the supervisor updated on work progress and recommend follow-up actions to address atypical results and any issues encountered.
  • Analyze raw materials, intermediates, stability samples, and finished products using various analytical and instrumental methods.
  • Conduct and document all tasks in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Maintain, calibrate, and monitor laboratory equipment, including incubators and refrigerators.
  • Implement the environmental monitoring program.
  • Conduct microbiological testing for ATP, environmental swabs, and allergen swab programs.
  • Assist in tracking non-routine and priority samples to ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor TrackWise Investigations and Deviations to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide assistance in investigations as needed and document results in TrackWise.
  • Conduct internal audits as assigned.
  • Undertake special assignments as directed by plant management.
  • Support and provide backup for the release and rejection of raw materials and finished goods in LIMS and SAP.
  • Assist in generating the Certificate of Analysis for finished products and distribute to customers as required.
  • Aid in reviewing production potency adjustment reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of batch builds.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor of Science preferred but not mandatory.
Required Skills:
  • Preferred laboratory skills.
  • Required aseptic techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Respirator use may be required at times.
