About You

We are seeking an experienced Building Enclosure professional to join our team. As a Building Enclosure Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from designing energy-efficient buildings to troubleshooting complex building enclosure issues. You will be responsible for implementing high-quality building science services, leading project plans and specifications, and communicating with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Project manage engagements of varying size and complexity, with guidance from managers and/or supervisors.
  • Implement high-quality building science services across projects.
  • Lead the development of project plans, details, and specifications.
  • Communicate with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze and design roofing and cladding systems, waterproofing details, and testing plans for air, water, structural, thermal performance, and corrosion resistance of buildings.
  • Delegate assignments to other staff members as needed for the project.
  • Prepare technical reports to completion, documenting observational findings, analyzing findings, and providing recommendations.
  • Pursue client contacts and opportunities, writing proposals and developing budgets for leadership review.
  • Attend industry events to promote BES and engage in professional development.
  • Read, write, and understand proposals and contract requirements.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of direct building enclosure experience.
  • Associates degree (or higher) in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, Building Sciences, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
  • Ability to write clear and concise communications for internal and external audiences with minimal guidance from supervisors.
  • Working knowledge of design codes and industry standards.
