Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the mission planning team to ensure the development and implementation of effective mission planning and execution strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with mission planning and execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of mission planning and execution activities.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the successful execution of mission planning and execution activities.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mission planning and execution activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM-related field.
- 14+ years of relevant experience in satellite operations engineering disciplines.
- Active or current TS/SCI clearance required at time of application/start.
- U.S. citizen.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in satellite operations engineering disciplines to include orbital mechanics, attitude control, power management, thermal control, propulsion, command and data handling, flight and ground software, and anomaly determination and resolution.
- Experience with RPO mission planning and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to formally present technical solutions to senior leadership teams.
- Experience directly managing or leading large engineering teams.
- Experience as technical lead, Integrated Product Team Lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages/tools: MATLAB, Python, SIMULINK, Fortran, Java, C/C++.
- Experience with fleet management of constellations of satellites.
- Familiar with a variety of astrodynamics tools (FreeFlyer, System Tool Kit (STK), NASA General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT), Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX)).
