Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pathway Advisor to join our team at the Community College of Aurora. As a Pathway Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting students in achieving their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess academic needs and career goals of assigned students, providing personalized guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement proactive advising strategies to promote student success and retention.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure seamless student experiences and academic progress.
  • Provide career and academic coaching, including resume building, job search strategies, and career exploration.
  • Stay up-to-date on college policies, procedures, and resources to effectively support students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience in student affairs, advising, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience working with students in a community college setting.
  • Knowledge of academic advising principles and practices.
