Position Overview

Your Role

We are part of the Threat Prevention & AppID QA team. Our QA division is integral to our offerings – delivering top-notch security services in the cloud to thwart cyber threats. We are in a constant state of innovation, challenging conventional thinking in cybersecurity.

Our engineers are not afraid to develop solutions for challenges that have yet to be addressed. To maintain our competitive edge, it is essential to understand the evolving landscape of cyber threats and the products and services that proactively counter them.

Qualifications

Your Background

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with a BS or MS degree or equivalent military experience required.
  • Experience in Software Development or QA within the cybersecurity, networking, and related sectors.
  • Proficient in drafting test plans and test cases, with a strong understanding of SQA methodologies, tools, and procedures.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python (or similar) and/or automation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNs.
  • Extensive experience with L4-L7 protocols (HTTP, SSL/TLS, SMTP, POP3, DNS, LDAP).
  • Experience with the installation and configuration of protocols (HTTP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, MAIL, etc.) in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Understanding of Internet functionality at the network packet level is essential.
  • Familiarity with open-source testing and network traffic generation tools, with experience in standard testing tools from Spirent, Breaking Point, and Ixia being advantageous.
  • Knowledge of next-generation firewalls and their IPS engines is a plus.
  • Exposure to Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, or others) is beneficial.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $144,200/yr to $233,200/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
