Join Amazon's Recommendations Team as a Principal Product Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Manager to lead our Recommendations organization and define new products and user experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing a 3-5 year strategic vision for creating new personalized recommendation experiences at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap to make Amazon's Personalized Recommenders the industry leader in new personalized experiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, and program management teams to deliver products to customers.
  • Drive product roadmap creation, including working with operations, executive team, and other team members.
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to help the team meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Interface and partner with all levels of the Amazon businesses.
  • Mentor product managers and leaders in the team.
  • Establish standards/best practices to raise the bar on product management in the organization.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience technical product management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements.
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Management, or Technology.

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
