Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team at Cobb Hospital Wellstar Cobb in Austell, Georgia. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services team, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain complete clinical history, gather examination data, and assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Ensure that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left markers are utilized appropriately.
  • Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Ability to function independently and under pressure while actively participating in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize appropriately and multitask effectively.
