About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UNC Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
  • Prepares for and assists the radiologist in completion of intricate radiographic procedures including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Performs patient assessments and provides patient care.
  • Evaluates the appropriateness of examination and assesses the quality of radiographic images.
  • Verifies patient identity, obtains patient history relevant to examination order, verifies pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation, assesses patients physical condition and develops an action plan for performing examination.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
