Radiology Technologist

Morrow County Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Operate imaging equipment, adjust exposure factors, and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
- Measure and mix barium and contrast media.
- Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
- Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
- Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patient bedsides.
- Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current license from the Ohio Department of Health.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
