Wood Production Specialist

Arbor Images is seeking a highly skilled Wood Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment and performing general machine maintenance functions related to sawmill production.
Job SummaryThis position involves identifying different species and wood conditions, performing machine operations, cleaning, and assisting with repairs of equipment. You will also be responsible for frequent checks to assure the machine is producing material to spec, adjusting machines operated to maintain spec product, and identifying maintenance-related issues. Additionally, you will assist in following a Preventative Maintenance program in place to grease, inspect, and maintain the machinery and building.
Responsibilities:- Identify different species and wood conditions to ensure high-quality timber production
- Perform various machine operations, including cleaning and assisting with repairs
- Frequent checks to assure the machine is producing material to specification
- Adjust machines operated to maintain spec product
- Identify and address maintenance-related issues
- Operate a skid steer as needed to support production
- Follow Preventative Maintenance program to maintain machinery and building
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Utilize powered hand tools correctly and safely
- Ability to operate various equipment and perform machine maintenance tasks
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality timber production
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competitive salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
