Production Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Management Specialist to oversee our production team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production team operations, including scheduling, time management, performance evaluations, hiring, and discipline.
- Foster a positive work environment and boost employee morale through effective leadership and communication skills.
- Identify training needs and support employee development and professional growth within the team.
- Serve as the primary liaison between leads, associates, and the management team to ensure clear communication and goal alignment.
- Evaluate and maintain adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and quality standards, consistently producing products that meet regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new and ongoing production initiatives, ensuring smooth operations and GMP compliance.
- Oversee manifest accuracy and documentation logs to ensure all team members understand their functions and responsibilities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant processes, staying up to date on company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time, promoting a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular production area audits and shift meetings to ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, and safety regulations.
- Attend weekly safety meetings and ensure all records are updated, including policy changes and rollouts.
- Evaluate and maintain OSHA compliance and adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of state wage and time law, with ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations.
- Ability to motivate and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution, with a focus on finding solutions that benefit the organization and its employees.
