Job Summary

The Behavioral Intervention Specialist will provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism, working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative healthcare company that prioritizes the well-being of its patients and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Cortica's orientation and complete Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) training program.
  • Implement behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Collaborate with Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and implement positive behavior strategies.
  • Fulfill documentation requirements, including data collection and session notes.
  • Assist with individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection.
  • Work with families and supervisors to establish supportive environments across all settings of care.
  • Follow Cortica crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in written and spoken communication, as well as professional dress and demeanor.

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Intervention Specialist with:

  • Experience working with children, preferably those with autism.
  • A bachelor's degree in a human service field (or related field); candidates with relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Current Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification; willing to obtain BCAT credential via Cortica's training program within 45 days.
  • Availability to work some days, late afternoons, and evenings.
  • A valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in software systems, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

Compensation and Benefits

Cortica offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid holidays and wellness days, life insurance, disability insurance options, tuition reimbursements, and referral bonuses.
