Position Overview:
The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, executing clerical and administrative duties, and assisting in the distribution of pharmaceutical products. This role offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth towards a pharmacy technician position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster positive and professional relationships with patients and colleagues through courteous interactions.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications with patients, healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Process payment transactions at the Point of Service (POS) and ensure accurate reconciliation of daily financial activities.
- Order and manage inventory of medications and pharmacy supplies, including processing returns.
- Stock and organize medications on shelves and handle Return-to-Stock (RTS) items.
- Accurately type prescription labels and input prescription data into the record-keeping system.
- Verify and re-verify insurance coverage for patients.
- Maintain organized filing of prescription invoices and pharmacy documentation.
- Coordinate the delivery of prescriptions to patients.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Embody and promote the core values and objectives of the organization.

Working Hours:
Pharmacy operations are conducted during the following hours: Mon - Tues: 9AM - 5:30PM, Wed - Thurs: 9AM - 8:30PM, Fri: 9AM - 5:30PM & Sat: 9AM - 1PM.

Candidate Profile:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a related field (retail, customer service, cashiering, etc.) is preferred, especially in a pharmacy setting.
- Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, inventory management software, and order processing systems.
- Strong typing and data entry capabilities.
- Ability to lift and carry light to medium-weight packages.
- Capacity to multitask and maintain organization in a dynamic work environment.
- Proactive in identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
- Dependable and responsible, with a solid attendance record.
- Flexibility to assist at other pharmacy locations as needed.
- Positive demeanor, energetic, adaptable, and possesses exceptional phone etiquette.
