Job Summary
The Hospital Pharmacy Director will oversee all functions related to the delivery of pharmacy services, developing, recommending, and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures. This role ensures pharmacy operations are compliant with hospital policies, state and federal laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, state and federal laws, and regulations.
- Develop, recommend, and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Order pharmaceuticals as needed to maintain inventory levels.
- Provide training and guidance to personnel to ensure quality of patient care and high level of customer satisfaction.
- Remain knowledgeable of the latest research developments concerning new drugs and drug usage.
- Maintain contact with other department needs, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy.
- Lead and direct the work of others, developing staff in a mentoring and coaching way.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Use a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Requirements
- Advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
- Master of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D preferred.
- (3) years of experience in discipline is preferred.
- Ten years of experience in discipline preferred.
- Knowledge of principals related to pharmaceutical preparation and practices.
- Licensed Pharmacist listed by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Two years' experience as a pharmacist.
- Minimum one year management experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
What We Offer
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who still enjoys interacting with patients and desires a setting to use and expand their clinical knowledge. The candidate will also have access to resources and is supported by a local designated Senior Director of Operations with the BrightSpring Health Services Division.
Work Schedule
The position is offered at full time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with an hour lunch.
