Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to provide technical direction and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of our products. As a key member of our team, you will serve as the primary customer contact for technical and service-related problems, demonstrating the uses and advantages of our products.

You will work closely with sales and marketing, QA/QC, and research and development to address customer concerns, determine corrective action, and customer follow-up. This role may be responsible for a designated region.

Responsibilities
  • Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment within established time requirements.
  • Provide preventative maintenance in accordance with published procedures and keep performance and maintenance records on the equipment.
  • Provide guidance and training to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, inspection procedures, and techniques.
  • Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Advise and assist in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operations.
  • May participate in installation planning phase.
Maintaining Customer Goodwill

You will maintain customer goodwill through effective communication of all services rendered, on-site arrival time, and service and operator issues. You will also present a positive attitude for the company, products, employees, and customers, and maintain a proper business appearance as defined by service management.

  • Effectively manage company assets, including company vehicle, computer, trunk stock parts inventory, test equipment, and tools.
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance to company documents, programs, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year working in a similar field-based repair position.
  • Computer skills are essential, with familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to obtain credit approval for Corporate Credit card.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent thinking.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Willingness to work up to and over 8 hours/day.
  • Work > 40 hours/week, weekends, holidays, and after-hours.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Maintain all requirements for access to customer sites, including active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements.
  • Participate in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
