Job Summary

HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Inspector - Field Testing Technician to join our team. As a Concrete Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections and testing of concrete structures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of concrete structures to identify any defects or irregularities.
  • Perform field testing of concrete to determine its strength, durability, and other properties.
  • Verify that concrete structures meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Document inspection results and testing data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers and contractors, to ensure that concrete structures are built to specifications.

Requirements:

  • ACI Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification.
  • Valid PCI Level II or III certification issued by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) is a plus.
  • Experience with precast/prestressed concrete inspection.
  • Ability to test fresh concrete for air content, slump, and temperature.
  • Location within 100 miles of Buffalo, NY.
  • Access to a personal computer and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical activity includes climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, and standing for sustained periods of time.
  • Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color and depth perception, and field of vision.
