Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is a distinguished multi-specialty medical group comprising Interventional Radiologists, Diagnostic Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

We have developed a specialized advanced practitioner service aimed at enhancing the superior clinical care provided by our vascular surgeons across the St. Lukes Hospital Network. The advanced practitioner will deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients at various locations, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role encompasses medical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, patient education, and family counseling, all while working within a multidisciplinary team framework. The selected candidates will be pivotal in the establishment and integration of this service into our already high-performing Vascular Surgery practice.

Location:

Our practice is situated in Eastern Pennsylvania, conveniently located within an hour's drive from major metropolitan areas, providing access to excellent educational institutions and a vibrant community known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse dining options, annual events, and outdoor recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with vascular surgeons, fellows, advanced practitioners, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding disease processes and treatment options, including minimally invasive endovascular and surgical procedures.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
  • Engage in ongoing quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives as well as continuing education.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource, offering guidance to colleagues and staff.

Work Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts during weekdays at various St. Lukes Heart and Vascular Centers.
  • Up to 10 on-call weekend shifts annually, with assignments based on coverage requirements and team schedules.
  • Primarily outpatient responsibilities with some inpatient care.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn about vascular surgery.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient in engaging and collaborating effectively with patients, families, staff, and healthcare providers.
  • Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of medical practices and skills.
  • Willingness to provide coverage at any site within the St. Lukes University Health Network as needed.

Educational Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner with an active license to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or
  • Current certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners.
