About Progressive Physician Associates:
Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is a leading multi-specialty group comprising Interventional Radiologists, Diagnostic Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Position Overview:
We have developed an advanced practitioner service aimed at enhancing the superior clinical care provided by our vascular surgeons across the healthcare network. The advanced practitioner will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients at various locations, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role encompasses medical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, patient education, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team. The selected candidates will be pivotal in the establishment and integration of this service within our highly efficient Vascular Surgery practice.

Location:

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with vascular surgeons, fellows, advanced practitioners, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding disease processes and treatment options, including minimally invasive endovascular and surgical procedures.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives, as well as continuing education.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for colleagues and staff.
Work Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts during weekdays at various healthcare centers.
- Participation in up to 10 on-call weekend shifts annually, based on coverage requirements and team scheduling.
- Primarily outpatient responsibilities with some inpatient care.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn about vascular surgery.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in engaging and collaborating with patients, families, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current medical practices and skills.
- Flexibility to cover various sites within the healthcare network as needed.
Educational Requirements:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or the American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners.
