Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is a distinguished multi-specialty group that encompasses Interventional Radiologists, Diagnostic Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons, delivering exceptional services within a prominent health network.
Position Overview:
We have developed an advanced practitioner service aimed at enhancing the outstanding clinical care provided by our vascular surgeons across the health network. The advanced practitioner will deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients at various locations, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role involves medical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, patient education, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team. The selected candidates will be pivotal in the growth and integration of this service into a highly efficient Vascular Surgery practice.

Location Highlights:

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with vascular surgeons, fellows, advanced practitioners, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment options, including minimally invasive endovascular and surgical procedures.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement and professional development activities.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for colleagues and staff.
Work Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts during weekdays at various health centers.
- Potential for up to 10 on-call weekend shifts annually, based on coverage requirements and team scheduling.
- Primarily outpatient responsibilities with some inpatient care.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn about vascular surgery.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in collaborating with patients, families, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current medical practices and skills.
- Flexibility to cover various sites within the health network as needed.
Educational Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner with a valid license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or
- Current certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners.
