Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is a distinguished multi-specialty group comprising Interventional Radiologists, Diagnostic Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Position Overview:

We have developed an advanced practitioner service aimed at enhancing the outstanding clinical care provided by our vascular surgeons across various facilities. The advanced practitioner will deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients at multiple locations, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role encompasses medical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, patient education, and family counseling, all while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. The selected candidates will be pivotal in the growth and integration of this service within a well-established Vascular Surgery practice.

Location:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with vascular surgeons, fellows, advanced practitioners, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding disease processes and treatment options.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
  • Engage in ongoing quality improvement and professional development activities.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for colleagues and staff.

Work Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour weekdays at various St. Luke's Heart and Vascular Centers.
  • Up to 10 on-call weekend shifts annually, based on coverage needs and team scheduling.
  • Primarily outpatient responsibilities with some inpatient care.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn about vascular surgery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, staff, and providers.
  • Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of medical practices and skills.
  • Flexibility to cover various sites within the healthcare network.

Educational Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner with a valid license to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or the American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners.
