Heartland Human Care Services is seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Housing Resource Specialist. This position involves offering essential technical support, advocacy, and resource creation aimed at assisting individuals in securing stable housing solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in identifying suitable housing options
  • Provide training in budgeting and employment skills
  • Collaborate with service providers to ensure ongoing support for clients
  • Engage with other housing service organizations to meet client needs
  • Manage client assistance funds in accordance with program guidelines
  • Build and sustain partnerships with social service and governmental entities
  • Contribute to program development and grant writing efforts

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social services or relevant experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage with individuals from various backgrounds

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in a second language
  • Strong networking and communication abilities
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and related software

Work Arrangement:

This position supports a hybrid work model with occasional in-person engagements.

Work Environment:

  • Operational 24/7
  • Flexibility in scheduling and work location is essential

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift and move items as necessary
  • Ability to provide physical restraint if required
