Job Summary

As a key member of the executive management team at Animas Surgical Hospital, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading the financial management and operations of the organization. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies, overseeing financial planning and budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes to ensure sound financial management and sustainable growth.
  • Provide financial guidance and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors to support decision-making and optimize financial performance.
Financial Management and Reporting
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, revenue cycle management, billing, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets and mitigate risks.
Operational Excellence
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to optimize processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance patient care delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational improvements to drive overall organizational performance.
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor operational and financial performance.
Strategic Leadership
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the executive team and departmental leaders on financial matters.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and other growth opportunities to support organizational objectives.
  • Foster a culture of financial accountability, transparency, and integrity throughout the organization.
Team Development and Management
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that aligns with the values of the organization.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships and communication channels across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the healthcare industry. A CPA or MBA is strongly preferred. The candidate should have demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, as well as a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement systems, and revenue cycle management.
