Therapeutic Program Specialist

As a Therapeutic Program Worker with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include participating in the development of treatment plans, charting and documentation, organizing and conducting patient group activities, and transporting patients to off-site appointments. You will also be required to participate in appropriate interventions and provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct charting and documentation to ensure accurate and timely records
- Organize and lead patient group activities to promote socialization and skill development
- Transport patients to off-site appointments and activities
- Participate in interventions and provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have formal education in arithmetic, reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary. Additionally, you must be able to complete a 4-week full-time orientation and may be required to work weekends and holidays. You must also be able to lift and move patients as needed.

Qualifications
Formal education in arithmetic, reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary. In addition, a high school diploma or equivalent is required. STNA certification and/or listing on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry may be required for positions at Veteran Services. A valid driver's license is required for positions that require operation of a motor vehicle to transport consumers to recreational, educational, and/or occupational activities.
