Job Title: Youth Peer Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Peer Advocate to join our PRIDE team at Northeast Family Services. As a Youth Peer Advocate, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to young individuals who have experienced social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify and build on their strengths and resilience.
  • Provide individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy sessions under the direction of licensed clinicians.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to promote culturally informed and competent care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • LGBTQIA+ culturally competent by virtue of education, training, experience, or a combination thereof.
  • High School diploma (or equivalency) and/or a State Education Commencement Credential.
  • Successful completion of YPA Training Level One (online).
  • Provisional certification at the time of hire and permanent certification within 18 months.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation, Signed Youth Peer Advocate Code of Ethics, Statement of Lived Experience, and Proof of age.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Excellent time-management skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:

Full-time: $28,000 - $32,000 a year.

Fee for Service: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
