About the Role

Viamonte Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced and dedicated veterinary professional to lead our clinic team as we continue to grow. As a privately owned general practice, we are committed to delivering superior medical care to our patients and providing first-class service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage the veterinary technician team and hospital operations, ensuring the effectiveness of departmental policies and protocols.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Executive Director of Medicine (Owner/DVM) to ensure adherence to hospital protocols, quality control, and medical standards.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Act as a floor manager to train, guide, and direct the veterinary technician team, fostering a positive work environment and supporting a strong team culture.
  • Inventory and Scheduling: Manage inventory to ensure supplies are stocked and organized, and create and maintain the veterinary technician work schedule, ensuring coverage and appropriateness for all hospital positions.
  • Reporting and Accountability: Report directly to the Executive Director of Medicine (Owner/DVM), providing regular updates on hospital operations and performance.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, with a proven track record in leading veterinary teams effectively.
  • Advanced Knowledge: Expertise in veterinary operations and procedures, including surgery, laboratory techniques, digital imagery, pharmaceuticals, and critical or emergency medical care.
  • Multitasking and Problem-Solving: Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions in a dynamic environment with periodic heavy workloads, and to anticipate, identify, and address problems effectively.
  • Communication and Technical Skills: Proficient in conveying complex processes and concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and required veterinary clinic software.
