Job Summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our hospital operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of veterinary assistants and technicians to provide exceptional client service and deliver high-quality medical care to pets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Assist the Practice Manager in developing and implementing hospital operations strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.
    • Lead and manage a team of veterinary assistants and technicians to ensure seamless delivery of client services and medical care.
    • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Client Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional client service and communication to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Act as a liaison between clients, veterinarians, and hospital staff to resolve client issues and concerns.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve client engagement and retention.
  • Operational Efficiency and Quality
    • Assist the Practice Manager in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of client service, medical care, and hospital cleanliness.
    • Conduct quality checks on medical records, go-home medications, and regulatory documentation.
  • Financial Management
    • Assist the Practice Manager in managing hospital finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or animal care setting, with a focus on leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
