Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Record Review: Review and analyze veterinary medical records to assess the relevance and accuracy of the information provided.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with underwriters and claims adjusters to ensure accurate interpretation and application of medical information.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and updating of policy guidelines related to medical conditions and treatments.
  • Insights and Recommendations: Provide insights and recommendations based on medical records to support the underwriting and claims processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all medical record reviews.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of veterinary medicine, including new treatments and emerging health conditions in pets.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with veterinary clinics, pet owners, and internal teams to clarify and verify medical information.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual: Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Licensure: Ability to secure P&C Adjuster License
  • Certification: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent education/certification/licensure
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or related field, with a strong focus on medical records management
  • Skills: Excellent understanding of veterinary medical terminology, diagnostics, and treatments; Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing complex medical records; Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment; Proficiency in using medical records software and other relevant computer applications; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
