Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer Technician to join our team in Lowell, MA. This role will provide tools and support to production while adhering to quality and cost requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and manufacturing, with experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and execute Continuous Improvement objectives
  • Assist in defining Lean Manufacturing requirements
  • Develop processes and procedures for projects to improve quality and cost
  • Originate and maintain written technical descriptions of processes and procedures
  • Oversee new production line implementations
  • Maintain compliance to procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Understand and follow safety policies and practices
  • Train team leads with new processes
  • Prepare Engineering Change Orders for processes and components
  • Perform Corrective and Preventative Action tasks

Requirements

  • Relevant Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with FDA, cGMP principles and practices, and ISO 9001, ISO 13485
  • Strong computer skills associated with Microsoft software
  • Ability to interpret technical drawing, blueprints, specification, and illustrations
  • Excellent reading, writing, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in the engineering/manufacturing environment for medical devices
  • Experience with Silicone molding
  • Ability for systematic problem solving, DMAIC
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with Contract Manufacturing
