Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Visual Manager to join our team at The Container Store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, leading visual merchandising efforts, and managing store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the General Manager to set goals and priorities for store success, focusing on sales, custom closets performance, average ticket results, and payroll management.
  • Support and direct processes for inventory control, Curbside orders, delivery services, register and money processes, and order management.
  • Lead operations efforts in the store, including repairs and maintenance requests, facilities updates, ordering supplies, planning meetings, walkthroughs, cleaning routines, backroom setup, and stockroom organization.
  • Lead visual merchandising efforts, ensuring Perfect Product Presentation, including merchandise processing, maintenance, and merchandising.
  • Interpret and direct product presentation according to direction from the Visual Sales and Buying Departments.
  • Manage the sales floor and employees, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, reviewing, and coaching.
Requirements
  • At least three years of leadership and coaching experience, with a focus on developing and nurturing teams to achieve goals together.
  • Successful experience in guiding employees' career growth and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to lead store teams to achieve excellent results.
  • A heart for service, with a passion for selling and providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • A commitment to learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
  • Pride in work and a desire to delight customers and colleagues alike.
