Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Welcome customers warmly as they enter the store, providing swift and efficient service while expressing appreciation for their business.
  • Cash Register Proficiency: Skillfully manage customer transactions using an electronic cash register, ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings.
  • Shift Transition Duties: Play a vital role in the shift change process by accurately counting cash at the start and end of each shift.
  • Specialty Product Processing: Utilize specialized equipment to handle various products, including money orders, credit card transactions, checks, and lottery sales.
  • ID Verification: Responsibly enforce age restrictions by checking identifications for regulated sales.
  • Stock Management: Ensure shelves are well-stocked and ready for our nighttime clientele, managing everything from food service supplies to merchandise.
  • Sanitation Standards: Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by following proper cleaning protocols and sanitizing all equipment and areas.
  • Waste Management: Keep the premises tidy by regularly emptying trash containers and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Vendor Coordination: Verify vendor deliveries in accordance with company standards, ensuring shelves are stocked, rotated, and organized.
  • Inventory Control: Address inventory issues by completing necessary documentation for damaged or expired merchandise.
  • Adaptability: Be prepared to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support store operations.

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old in specific states.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills are necessary, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Personable Attitude: Friendly and welcoming demeanor is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen awareness of details that enhance the customer experience.
  • Reliability: Punctuality and trustworthiness are crucial.
