Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Welcome customers warmly as they enter the store, providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Cash Register Proficiency: Efficiently process customer transactions using an electronic cash register, ensuring accuracy in all dealings.
  • Shift Transition Duties: Participate in the shift change process by accurately counting cash at the start and end of your shift.
  • Specialty Product Handling: Utilize specialized equipment to manage various products, including money orders and credit card transactions.
  • ID Verification: Responsibly check identifications to enforce age restrictions on certain sales.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure shelves are stocked and ready for customers during nighttime hours.
  • Sanitation Standards: Maintain cleanliness by following proper sanitization protocols for all areas and equipment.
  • Waste Management: Regularly empty trash receptacles to keep the store environment tidy.
  • Vendor Coordination: Check in deliveries from vendors according to company policies and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Merchandise Quality Control: Address issues with damaged or expired products promptly.
  • Adaptability: Be prepared to take on various tasks as needed to support store operations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Availability: Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Pre-Employment Checks: Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Positive Attitude: Friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for details that enhance customer experiences.
  • Reliability: Punctual and responsible in all tasks.
