Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
  • Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer's benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Assist with the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end closings.
  • Review and understand manufacturing overheads, production costs, and material costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1-2 years of experience in full cycle accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Sage.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
