As an Aftersales Systems Technology Program Leader, you will spearhead the digital transformation and system advancements of Aftersales within the US dealership network. Your responsibilities will include defining product visions, strategies, and roadmaps, as well as continuously developing, planning, and overseeing the implementation of business requirements while introducing new functionalities across all US dealerships. You will manage multiple initiatives, ensuring coherence in content, strategy, budget, and timelines, while also overseeing budget management and project performance reporting to senior management committees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate product visions, strategies, and roadmaps.
  • Establish business requirements for Aftersales systems. Coordinate and manage their implementation with both internal and external development partners, including those at BMW headquarters in Munich.
  • Oversee the creation of project plans, resource needs, and timelines, coordinating with process partners both within and outside the department.
  • Negotiate priorities and timelines with central teams and third-party system suppliers, ensuring synchronized delivery timelines.
  • Manage testing, documentation, training material development, dealer support, pilot programs, dealer visits, and field staff assistance.
  • Plan and oversee the rollout of new functionalities to the US dealer network.
  • Communicate project visions, strategies, roadmaps, and status updates to senior management committees.
  • Establish service technology standards for third-party systems, including product qualification criteria and processes. Conduct product evaluations and communicate findings to the US dealer network.
  • Supervise the execution of processes to uphold service technology standards within the US dealer network.

The compensation range for this position is: $105,000 - $123,000.

The final salary offer will be determined based on the selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location. All compensation ranges are based on a full-time work schedule.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in wholesale/retail within an OEM, preferably in Aftersales or Information Technology, with specific knowledge of service processes and retail operations.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading teams and managing external vendors.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong technical, management, and instructional skills.
  • Experience negotiating with and influencing internal and external business partners.
  • Experience presenting business cases to management and dealer forum committees for approval.
  • Experience persuading dealer forum committees and dealer bodies to adopt new service technologies.
Preferences:
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PPT).
  • Expertise in Confluence and JIRA.
  • Advanced knowledge of API technology (XML, REST, JSON).
