Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Vision Pro team, you will work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and operational excellence. Your role will encompass:
- Collaborating within the new product introduction group, focusing on design, quality, testing, and global supply management to uphold product standards.
- Applying your deep understanding of manufacturing trade-offs to provide insightful feedback to cross-functional teams.
- Overseeing factory setups and managing technical operational functions related to manufacturing, including process design, assembly, automation, testing, and yield optimization.
- Preparing executive-level status reports and presentations to communicate progress and challenges.
- Driving operational excellence in establishing scalable and sustainable mass-production processes.
- Analyzing data to implement quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing.
- The ability to travel internationally, approximately 20-25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Significant experience in product introduction to manufacturing, particularly in high-volume production and international OEMs.
- Strong project management skills, particularly in areas such as planning, cost management, and delivery.
- Experience in a matrixed organizational structure.
- Experience in developing or commissioning custom assembly processes.
- Direct experience leading functional engineering teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, or Packaging Engineering.
- Effective communication skills in a global context.
- An understanding of tolerance stack-ups for assemblies and part levels.
- Knowledge of engineering design and GD&T principles.
- Familiarity with pneumatics, servomotors, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
- Experience with JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits:
At Apple, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills, qualifications, and experience. The base pay range for this role is between $122,300 and $184,600. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to participate in stock programs and benefit from comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and various employee discounts. We also support formal education related to career advancement through reimbursement for certain educational expenses, including tuition.
