Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) for Permitting is responsible for managing the submission, processing, and scheduling of city permits related to residential plumbing projects. The CSR ensures that all customer permits are handled efficiently and completed promptly. Additionally, the CSR will address incoming plumbing service inquiries when not engaged in permit processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls effectively
  • Assess customer needs and clarify information to provide appropriate solutions
  • Coordinate and schedule inspections and service calls
  • Maintain daily schedules for technicians
  • Ensure service calls are completed accurately
  • Arrange follow-up visits with customers as necessary
  • Dispatch service technicians efficiently
  • Monitor the dispatch board to optimize technician productivity
  • Complete permit applications for daily installations; manage NOC when required
  • Assign and track decal numbers
  • Coordinate the drop-off and pick-up of permits
  • Manage electrical permits
  • Notify municipalities regarding installations and permit statuses
  • Schedule and oversee the daily activities of the Permit Courier
  • Update permit tracking using Service Titan Software
  • Request inspections and confirm appointments with customers
  • Check inspection results and enter new permit information into SuccessWare
  • Mail new permits to customers or file them appropriately
  • Follow up with customers to schedule inspections
  • Address permit revisions and correct any application issues
  • Ensure all permits are closed out and renewed as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Experience in permitting processes
  • Strong verbal communication skills with active listening abilities
  • Proficient in multitasking and time management
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • Data entry skills with the ability to type at least 45 WPM
