Our client, a leading Tier 1 Design & Build Contractor in the water sector, is engaged in a Framework Joint Venture that is responsible for a significant portion of water supply and wastewater treatment facilities in the eastern region.

We are seeking to add an Electrical Site Supervisor and Electrical Authorised Personnel to our site management teams. These roles will involve overseeing the electrical operations of Site Electricians while fulfilling Authorised Person duties to uphold our commitment to safety, ensuring that our motto of 'Nothing is so important it can't be done safely' is at the forefront of our operations.

Your role will be pivotal in guaranteeing that our electrical tasks are executed to the highest standards, contributing to the timely and budget-conscious completion of projects.


Key Responsibilities:


Promote and maintain safe working environments in compliance with Electrical Safety regulations and HSE legislation, supported by our Safety Management System.

Ensure all tasks are performed according to approved method statements, with any changes effectively communicated to the teams, and conduct risk assessments as necessary.

Encourage and lead proactive communication methods, including toolbox talks, near-miss reporting, pre-start shift briefings, and daily work updates.

Verify that site personnel receive relevant training, which is documented in the site personnel training register.

Monitor the quality of work produced by team members, fostering a culture of 'getting it right the first time.'

Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of teams to ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and safety standards.

Manage the procurement and oversight of hired, internal, and external equipment daily, ensuring that the necessary plant and materials are available and removed from site as required.

Issue permits as needed to regulate electrical works and isolations on site.

Ensure compliance with safe working practices and electrical safety regulations, contributing to site safety audits and electrical completion documentation.

Confirm that installations meet the Water Industry Mechanical & Electrical Specifications and any relevant amendments.


Required Skills/Experience:
Applicants should possess a CSCS Affiliated Electrical Supervisor card and a CITB SMSTS qualification.

As a qualified Electrician under BS7671 18th Edition, you should also hold an EUSR National Water Hygiene Card, with a preference for Test and Inspection 2394/ qualification.

Demonstrated supervisory experience is essential, along with the ability to lead by example and proven problem-solving capabilities in a Mechanical & Electrical context.

Willingness to embrace new technologies and procedures is important.

A solid understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations and permit systems is required.

Your proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams will assist you in performing minor electrical works and supervising the installation of large-scale projects.
