Our client, Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd, is a leading Tier 1 Design & Build Contractor primarily focused on the water sector. They have secured a significant project to execute non-infrastructure water and wastewater initiatives for Thames Water.

We are seeking to appoint an Electrical Installation Manager for one of their pivotal projects. The responsibilities associated with this role encompass:
• Organizing and overseeing electrical installation activities on a major Thames Water clean water site.
• Verifying site installations performed by subcontractors to ensure adherence to specifications and drawings.
• Maintaining comprehensive drawing files, a drawing register, and an organized site filing system.
• Collaborating with the design team to address design-related issues and resolve on-site queries.
• Coordinating with the client's site representative regarding installation specifics.
• Drafting method statements.
• Issuing site instructions for variation work.
• Monitoring installation progress against the project timeline and providing reports.
• Witnessing Site Acceptance Tests on panels and the testing of installations.
• Compiling a defects schedule and ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
• Assisting during the commissioning phase of the project.

It is essential to ensure that all installations are executed to a high standard, in line with specifications and best practices. Additionally, compliance with current legislation and the Company's Health & Safety Policy is paramount, ensuring that safe working procedures are consistently implemented.
• Conducting Toolbox talks for site personnel.
• Managing the Electrical Permit to Work system and maintaining accurate records.
• Overseeing the Electrical Sanction to Test system.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
• Proven experience in the water or wastewater sector.
• Prior experience in an Electrical Supervisor capacity, particularly in writing electrical permits to work and managing electrical Health and Safety on-site.
• Familiarity with LV Electrical switchgear and motor control centers.
• Background in electrical installations, cabling, and building services.
• Knowledge of Control Systems, motor control, and Telemetry.
• City and Guilds Inspection and Testing Certificate 2394 and 2395 is advantageous.
• COMPEX Certificate and experience with DSEAR Regulations are beneficial.
• 18th Edition Update and comprehensive understanding of BS7671.
