Our client, a leading Tier 1 Design & Build Contractor, specializes in the water sector and is engaged in significant projects for major water authorities.

We are seeking an EICA Engineering Manager to oversee key frameworks, with the flexibility to work from various locations across the UK, including hybrid arrangements.

This role involves providing technical leadership for the EICA discipline, ensuring the team is adequately sized and possesses the necessary skills and capacity.

Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing standard design practices and contributing to the ongoing development of the discipline.


Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical direction of the EICA discipline.

- Develop long-term staffing and succession plans, along with training and development strategies for the Thames Water and Severn Trent regions.

- Conduct staff performance evaluations.
- Apply strategic design philosophies within the EICA discipline.
- Ensure high standards of technical quality.
- Estimate task time requirements within the discipline.
- Implement effective task delivery methods and tools.
- Allocate skilled personnel to projects.
- Utilize secure information management systems.
- Contribute to defining and executing technical strategies.
- Manage technical risks within the discipline.
- Foster client relationships and ensure service excellence.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in technical design within a design-build environment.
- Background in the water treatment sector.
- Experience in leading and managing design teams.

- A commitment to quality, with the ability to set and achieve targets while motivating multidisciplinary teams.

- Ability to identify and manage technical project risks.
- Experience in leading remote or geographically dispersed teams.
- Degree in an EICA-related field or Chartered Engineer status.
- Strong relationship-building skills and collaborative approach.
- Technically proficient with a focus on BIM and digital delivery.
- A drive for continuous improvement.
