At Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd, we are collaborating with a leading Tier 1 Design & Build Contractor, primarily focused on the water sector. This esteemed organization has secured a significant portfolio of non-infrastructure projects.
We are currently seeking an Electrical Operations Supervisor to enhance our site management teams, responsible for overseeing the electrical tasks performed by Site Electricians.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all electrical operations on-site are executed to the highest standards, facilitating timely project completion while adhering to budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote and maintain safe working environments in compliance with Electrical Safety regulations and HSE legislation, supported by a robust Safety Management System.
• Ensure all tasks are executed in accordance with approved method statements, with any modifications clearly communicated to the teams, alongside conducting necessary risk assessments.
• Lead and encourage open communication through toolbox talks, near-miss reporting, pre-start shift briefings, and daily work updates.
• Verify that site personnel receive relevant job training, which is documented in the site personnel training register.
• Supervise the quality of work produced by team members, fostering a culture of 'getting it right the first time.'
• Schedule, coordinate, and oversee the daily operations of site teams to ensure compliance with budgets, timelines, and safety standards.
• Manage the procurement and oversight of hired, internal, and external equipment daily, ensuring that the necessary tools and materials are available and removed from the site as required.
• Issue permits as necessary to regulate electrical works and isolations on-site.
• Ensure adherence to safe working practices and electrical safety regulations, contributing to site safety audits and completion documentation.
• Confirm that installations comply with the Water Industry Mechanical & Electrical Specifications and relevant amendments.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Possession of a CSCS Affiliated Electrical Supervisor card and a CITB SMSTS qualification is essential.
• As a qualified Electrician under BS7671 18th Edition, you should also hold an EUSR National Water Hygiene Card, with a preference for Test and Inspection 2394/ qualification.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience, with a comfort in leading by example, and proven problem-solving abilities in a Mechanical & Electrical context.
• Openness to adopting new technologies and methodologies.
• A solid understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations and permit systems.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams will assist you in executing minor electrical tasks and supervising the installation of high-value projects.
