Join our team as a Sous Chef at The Salvation Army Western Territory Headquarters (THQ) in Tucson, Arizona. As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist the Food Service Director in preparing meals, planning menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with food service preparation, including meal planning, ordering, and inventory management.
- Coordinate daily work schedules with the Food Service Director and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health department and industry safety standards.
- Assist with training and conferences as assigned by the Food Service Director.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- At least 3 years of experience in food service management or a related field.
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred.
- Valid California State Drivers License and current California State Food Handlers Permit required.
- Ability to lift heavy cooking pots, pans, and other items used in food service/cleanup.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
