Job Summary:

As a Workers Compensation Claims Program Director at Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc., you will be responsible for managing a claims program comprised of claims supervisors, claims adjusters, and claims assistants. Your primary goal will be to ensure the quality and quantity of work processed by the claims team, while maintaining excellent client relations and adhering to Labor Code provisions and company rules.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain excellent client relations and consult with clients to define their needs or problems.
Conduct studies and surveys to obtain data, analyze it to determine solutions, and implement changes as needed.
Provide monetary approval authority up to assigned levels and work closely with client representatives to ensure contractual provisions are being followed.
Offer advice, mentoring, coaching, counseling, and performance feedback to supervisors and team members as needed.
Ensure all claims handled by the team are processed in accordance with applicable statutes and company rules.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eight or more years of progressive technical claim experience, demonstrating a high degree of judgment and discretion.
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Project Management, and Database software.
Attainment of the Associate in Claims designation and successful completion of IIA MGT 43 and MGT 44, or equivalent studies or work experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

As a Claims Program Director, you will manage three to seven subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of five to ten employees on the Claims Program. Your responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Work Environment:

The work environment is moderate, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds. The noise level is usually moderate. Salary Description: $102,000 - $134,000
