Job Summary

The Regional Director of Risk Management and Loss Prevention will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management strategies to reduce casualty and property losses within a designated region. This role will collaborate with Claim Operations, Regional leadership, and market/local risk management professionals to ensure the successful completion of standardized risk management and loss prevention activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement region-wide risk management programs to reduce casualty and property losses
• Collaborate with Regional and Market Executives to identify potential high-risk exposures and analyze data for loss prevention opportunities
• Ensure timely claim identification and reporting, on-site claim investigation/data gathering, and local/market leader concurrence on claim resolution strategy
• Partner with Regional leaders to develop, implement, and assess the effectiveness of system loss prevention programs
• Participate in national risk management and loss prevention programs to share knowledge and ensure standardization in application
• Assist with hiring, orienting, training, mentoring, and evaluating market/local risk management professionals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in Healthcare Risk Management
• Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred

Requirements

• Ability to analyze and communicate complex loss trends data to a broad audience
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong working knowledge of loss prevention, quality processes, and managing complex projects to success
• High degree of comfort in utilizing technological job aids
