Job Title: Per Diem Pharmacist

Penn State Health is seeking a per diem pharmacist to join our team at our Reading, Pennsylvania location.

Job Summary:

The per diem pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in a hospital setting. This includes acquiring and preparing medication, maintaining proper records, and providing drug information to healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Acquire and prepare medication for patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication distribution and patient information
  • Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients
  • Participate in patient teaching programs and provide education on medication use
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of pharmacy services and policies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or PharmD degree in pharmacy
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
