Job Title: Per Diem Pharmacist

Penn State Health is seeking a per diem pharmacist to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary:

A per diem pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in a hospital setting. This includes dispensing medications, monitoring patient responses, and providing education to patients and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Dispense medications to patients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Provide education to patients and healthcare staff on proper medication use and management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • PharmD degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure to practice pharmacy in Pennsylvania
  • Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
