Job Title: Per Diem Pharmacist

Penn State Health is seeking a per diem pharmacist to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary:

The per diem pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in a hospital setting. This includes acquiring and preparing medication forms, distributing and controlling medications, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Acquire and prepare medication forms
  • Distribute and control medications
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients
  • Participate in patient, student, and staff teaching programs
  • Participate in drug utilization review activities
  • Perform clinical pharmacy services as needed
  • Accept on-call responsibilities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or PharmD degree in pharmacy required
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility required
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
